Purpose

Shortcut for Interwiki links to Wikipedia. Instead of having to type [[Wikipedia:Foobar|Foobar]], {{wp|Foobar}} is enough.

Examples:

  • {{wp|Blah}} makes a Blah link to the Wikipedia page for Blah, as such: Blah
  • {{wp|Foo|Bar}} makes a Bar link to the Wikipedia page for Foo, as such: Bar
